They started the company and through strategic acquisition and construction of new builds they created a brand that owned and operated 12 Express by Holiday Inn Hotels. The business was sold in October 2007 for £120m returning more than £50m in shareholder value. Barrie’s experience also includes being a member of the senior executive team at Stakis/Hilton, helping the company’s 40 UK hotels generate a turnover of £400 million.
